    Acro, short for acrobatics, is a dance style that combines classical dance technique with acrobatic skills. It focuses on building strength, flexibility, balance, and control, while blending tumbling and gymnastic-inspired movements seamlessly into dance.

    In class, dancers work on skills such as handstands, cartwheels, walkovers, aerials, and partner tricks, progressing safely with proper technique. Unlike gymnastics, Acro emphasizes how these moves connect smoothly into choreography and performance.

    It’s an exciting style that challenges dancers physically while also enhancing their overall versatility and performance quality.

  • Contemporary

    Contemporary dance is a versatile and expressive style that blends elements of modern, ballet, and jazz. It focuses on creativity, fluidity, and personal expression, encouraging dancers to move beyond traditional steps and discover their own unique style.

    Unlike more structured dance forms, contemporary emphasizes freedom of movement, exploration, and storytelling. Dancers use techniques like floor work, improvisation, dynamic shifts, and partnering to connect deeply with the music and their own emotions.

    It’s a style that builds strength, flexibility, and artistry, while also giving dancers space to explore how their body naturally moves.

  • Hip-Hop

    Hip Hop is a high-energy dance style that comes from street dance and hip hop culture. It focuses on rhythm, style, and musicality, using popular music with strong beats. Classes encourage dancers to bring their own personality and creativity into the movement, making Hip Hop fun, empowering, and a great way to build performance skills.

    What to Wear: Relaxed/loose-fitted clothing. Tshirts, shorts, and/or sweats

  • Jazz

    Jazz dance is a lively, energetic style that combines strong technique with rhythm, style, and performance quality. With roots in African and African American dance traditions, Jazz has evolved alongside jazz music, Broadway, and popular culture.

    In class: Dancers work on kicks, turns, leaps, isolations, and stylized movement, building strength, flexibility, and musicality. Jazz is versatile—it can be sharp and powerful, smooth and expressive, or influenced by Broadway, funk, and pop. At its heart, Jazz combines technique and personality, giving dancers the tools to perform with precision and flair.

  • Lyrical

    Lyrical dance blends ballet, jazz, and contemporary, emphasizing expression and storytelling through movement. Dancers learn technical skills like turns, leaps, and extensions while connecting with the music and conveying emotion.

    The technique combines the grace and lines of ballet, the energy and rhythm of jazz, and the fluidity and emotion of contemporary dance. Dancers learn not only technical skills, like turns, leaps, and extensions, but also how to connect with the music and convey emotion through their performance. It’s a wonderful style for building strength, flexibility, control, and artistry while encouraging dancers to explore their own creativity.

  • Musical Theater

    Musical Theater is a dynamic dance style that combines acting, singing, and dancing to tell a story through performance. It emphasizes characterization, expression, and stage presence, helping dancers convey emotion and narrative while moving to music.

    In class, students learn a mix of jazz, ballet, and contemporary-based choreography, along with performance skills like facial expressions, timing, and storytelling. Musical Theatre builds confidence, musicality, and versatility, preparing dancers for both stage performances and broader dance opportunities.

  • Pom

    An energetic and dynamic style of dance that places emphasis on precise and synchronized arm movements, formations, jumps, and skills. It is characterized by its use of poms, which dancers hold in their hands throughout the routine.

  • Ballet

    It’s a timeless art form that combines athleticism and artistry, giving dancers the tools to express themselves while mastering beautiful, disciplined movement.

    What to wear: Pink/Skin color Tights, Black Leotard, Black form-fitting shorts/black skirt optional.

    Girls: Pink satin/tone slippers that match tights. 

    Boys: white, black, or satin-tone slippers

    Flex & Stretch

    Flex & Stretch is a conditioning class focused on improving a dancer’s flexibility, strength, and body alignment. Through targeted stretches and strengthening exercises, dancers work on increasing their range of motion, core stability, balance, and control.

    This class helps dancers safely achieve skills like higher extensions, stronger leaps and jumps, deeper backbends, and more fluid movement. It’s a great way to prevent injury, build body awareness, and support growth in all styles of dance.

  • Tricks, Turns & Leaps

    Tricks, Turns & Leaps

    This class is designed to strengthen a dancer’s technical foundation while focusing on the exciting elements of dance such as turns, leaps, jumps, and tricks. Dancers work on improving alignment, balance, flexibility, core strength, and control to execute skills safely and with precision.

    Class includes drills and progressions for pirouettes, fouettés, jetés, tilt jumps, leg holds, and acro-inspired tricks, depending on each dancer’s level. The goal is to build both consistency and confidence, helping dancers bring more power, height, and polish to their performances in all styles of dance.

    What to wear: Form-fitting, flexible clothing (e.g. leggings, shorts, tank top, top)

    Shoes: Jazz, half soles, turners no socks

  • Ballet, Tap, Tumble

    Ballet, Tap, Tumble

    Ballet/Tap/Tumble is a fun, introductory combo class designed for young dancers. It introduces them to the basics of ballet (grace, posture, coordination), tap (rhythm, timing, musicality), and tumbling (strength, balance, and simple acrobatic skills).

    This class helps build a strong foundation while keeping learning engaging and playful. It’s perfect for developing confidence, creativity, and motor skills in a supportive environment.

    What to wear: Form-fitting, flexible clothing (e.g. leggings, shorts, tank top, top, leotard and tights)

    Shoes: Ballet and Tap shoes. No worries if you don’t have shoes—we have a bin of ballet and tap shoes available for you to use

  • Ballet/Jazz

    Ballet/Jazz

    Ran just like our Ballet /Tap/Tumble Class is a fun introductory combo class designed for young dancers. It introduces them to the basics of ballet (grace, posture, coordination), and Jazz (strength, balance, and rhythm).

  • Pointe

    Designed for students with previous ballet training, students will utilize their ballet technique while working in a pointe shoes. Each class includes barre exercises, center floor work and across the floor combinations. These exercises focus on strengthening the feet and ankles.

  • Pre-Pointe

    Offered to ballet students who are not on pointe, but are working towards being on pointe. This class helps the dancer to further develop and strengthen the muscles necessary to go on pointe.
